  • Is there outside space including seating?
    There is an outside patio and gazebo area and an grassy area for dogs. The outdoor patio includes 2 sun loungers and a picnic table and the undercover wooden gazebo includes a Rattan 'L' shaped sofa & stools plus a dining table.
  • What kitchen facilities are there?
    Fully equipped with: Electric 2 ringed Hob Electric Oven Microwave Fridge with small freezer compartment Slimline Dishwasher Toaster Kettle Crockery, Cutlery, baking trays, 2 saucepans & 2 frying pans Filter coffee pot & teapot
  • Do I have sole use of the property even if there are two of us?
    Yes, we only take one booking at a time.
  • Is there a TV & Wifi
    There is a Smart Tv & Free Wifi
  • Does The Arches have it's own Private entrance?
    Yes, there is a separate entrance gate from the road to The Arches, with steps down to the main door & Patio. Guests have their own key and privacy to come and go as they like.
  • Is there Parking?
    Yes there is parking on the driveway which is shared with us at Bailey's Barn
  • Where does the Spiral Staircase lead to?
    There is a small landing area at the top of the stairs that contains Tourist information leaflets and maps. There are also games for guest use.
  • Do you have bike storage?
    Yes there is a locked bike storage shed located at the rear of the covered Wooden Gazebo area.
  • Are dogs allowed?
    Yes we love to see dogs enjoying a holiday too. Please bring your own pet bedding as dogs are not allowed on the furniture including the bed. If you have forgotten your pet bedding, please let us know and we can provide some. There is a secure garden area so that dogs can enjoy a sniff around. Both pubs are dog friendly.
  • Do you provide linen, towels and a hairdryer?
    Yes we provide linen and towels and there is also 1 hairdryer.
  • Are there any refreshments provided?
    We provide Tea, Coffee, Milk and a few cooking essentials like Cooking Oil, Salt & Pepper and a few sauces.
  • Is there easy access?
    From the road/parking area, as you enter through The Arches gate, there are 8 steps down to the entrance doorway. There is also a large step up to get into the bath/shower.
  • Arrival by public transport
    There is a bus service in the village that links with Brecon & Abergavenny. From this service you can also link with services to Swansea, Cardiff or Hay on Wye Our closest train station is Abergavenny. Our closest airports are Bristol & Cardiff

  • How far is The Arches located from the village?
    The Arches is a 10 minute walk down hill to the canal and the village where there are 2 pubs, cafe and shop. There is also a children's playground, playing field and multi surface sports court area. Please note that the return journey is obviously uphill!
  • What is the access road like?
    Access to The Arches is about 1/2 a mile up a narrow country lane.

  • Walking Guides
    We provide four local walking guides which are various levels of difficulty, so there is a walk to suit everyone. We also provide booklets with a variety of walks covering the whole of the Brecon Beacons
  • Do you provide Tourist information and is there local Tourist Information Centre?
    We provide a wealth of Tourist Information leaflets and maps. The leaflets are located on the small landing area at the top of the spiral staircase. Also in the Online Guide we will send to you before your arrival, there is a section detailing our favourite places to visit to help you enjoy your stay. We provide 4 step by step walking leaflets for the local area that suit all abilities. If you would like Cycling or Mountain Bike Routes, please ask us and we can provide these too. There is also a Tourist Information Centre in Brecon at 11 Lion Yard. LD3 7BA
